Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining Coachella almost didn’t happen

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are headlining Coachella once again but almost never happened according to manager Cliff Burnstein.

The band and Coachella officials negotiated the deal months but just as Mick Jagger announced that the Rolling Stones were not doing Coachella, the Chili Peppers became the last hour headliners.

Blur, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Trent Reznor’s “How To Destroy Angels,” Social Distortion, among bands that will jojn the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in the year’s Coachella in Indio, California.
