Seth MacFarlane and Liam Neeson team up for new gunslinger movie

By J.M. Lopez

Half of you probably know about Seth MacFarlane’s new film that’s coming out titled “A Million Ways To Die In The West”. With an interesting enough title, it seems to have an interesting cast. Before we go into the cast though, what is this film exactly about? After a little bit of digging and “Googling” then back to digging I have finally found out.

A poor sheep farmer is too afraid to have a dual that his wife decides to leave him because he’s not man enough. In order to win her back, he seeks the help of a gunslinger’s wife. He wants her to teach him how to shoot, because I guess the husband isn’t around or something. But after spending some time with the gunslingers wife he begins to fall for her and that right there don’t settle too good with the gunslinger himself when he comes home.

Okay, maybe I don’t make it sound too appealing, but maybe I can redeem myself with a better description of the cast. Seth MacFarlane is going to play the wimp of a sheep farmer. Amanda Seyfried is going to play his wife who decides to leave him (cause you know, sheep farmers aint manly enough already). Charlize Theron will play the gunslingers wife (I think he asked her for her help for more than her gunslinging skills). Liam Neeson is going to play the gunslinger that isn’t too happy about Seth MacFarlane hitting on his wife (and who can blame him). Then there’s Giovanni Ribisi who is going to play Seth’s friend who has a whore of a wife that will apparently sleep with everyone else but poor old Ribisi (damn, sucks to be that guy).

The film is rumored to have a summer release this year, but so far it’s still in production, so don’t be surprised if its not out by then.

Shame it’s not based on a book this time, now I have to go out there and find a book being turned into a movie for my book club…..screw it, we’ll just watch a bunch of westerns with Clint Eastwood in it.
