Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is planning on leaving Landmark Sports Agency and is expected to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports.
According to ESPN, Durant told those close to him that he wants to expand his brand.
He is not looking for a new contract since he signed a contract extension with the Thunder, which is to end after the 2015-2016 season.
As of now, no deal has been finalized.
There is a chance that Jay-Z may sign Durant and own the Nets without violating the NBA rules if Kevin Durant is only doing marketing business with him.
It is unknown at this point as to whether or not Jay-Z will sell the Brooklyn Nets before signing Kevin Durant.
Jay-Z started Roc Nation Sports this past spring.
Since starting Roc Nation Sports, Jay-Z has signed New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano (MLB), New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith (NFL), and Tulsa Shook guard Skylar Diggins (WNBA).
