After a series of complaints and back-lash over an always-on-connection and used game restrictions on the Xbox One. Microsoft has stepped up and made some  huge changes.

On the Xbox One, an always-on-internet connection will not be needed to play offline-games anymore. However, you would still need to use the internet to start up your Xbox One on the first day.

Another big policy change will do away with the used game restrictions. Now Xbox One games can be exchanged freely like on the Xbox 360.

Plus there will not be any restrictions on lending games to other people and trade-ins.

Xbox One is already available to pre-order in many retail stores.
