The official announcements have been made for the 2014 Grammy Awards and they will feature some Rock N Roll veterans like Queens of the Stone Age.

QOTSA’s My God Is The Sun  receive a nomination for ‘Best Rock Performance’. Among other veterans in the category are David Bowie with The Stars (Are Out Tonight), Led Zeppelin with Kashmir, and Jack White with I’m Shakin’.

In the ‘Best Rock Album’ category is QOTSA’s “…Like Clockwork.” The category also includes Black Sabbath’s “13,” David Bowie’s “The Next Day,” Led Zeppelin’s “Celebration Day,” Neil Young with Crazy Horses’ “Psychedelic Pill,” and Kings of Leon’s “Mechanical Bull.”

Also, Cut Me Some Slack by three-fourths of Nirvana (Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear) and full Paul McCartney received a nomination for “Best Rock Song” in which includes Doom and Gloom (The Rolling Stones), and God Is Dead? (Black Sabbath).
