The Blue Jays are a game and a half behind the Yankees and the Mets are a game ahead of the Nationals and it’s looking more and more like both the Blue Jays and the Mets are going to win their division.
Although, the Yankees have led the A.L. East for most of the season their time will soon run out thanks to the surging Blue Jays and their newest star players SS Troy Tulowitzki, and LHP David Price playing alongside current stars Jose Bautista, Russell Martin, Josh Donaldson, Mark Buerhle, and R.A. Dickey.
The Yankees have gone on a 3 game losing, while the Blue Jays have gone on an 8 game winning streak. Yankees’ comeback players Mark Teixeira, and A-Rod can not match an all-star built lineup like Toronto’s.
Meanwhile, the other New York, The Mets are surging with young star pitchers like Jacob deGrom (who is sporting a 2.13 ERA), Noah Syndergard, Matt Harvey along their mentor Bartolo Colon. In offense, they have Lucas Duda (with 21 Hrs), and newly acquired OF Yoenis Cespedes. Their trade deadline acquisitions of veterans Juan Uribe, Kelly Johnson and Tyler Clippard will be good enough to beat Clippard’s former team the Nationals.
Nationals will battle the Mets all throughout the second half with star pitchers Max Scherzer, and Doug Fister but the offense will not upheld the Mets’ stars.
